(m)EAT BBQ is the 10 year brain-child of Pitmaster | Owner Al Batson. Al spent 3 years traveling the country coast to coast learning, cooking, competing and eating barbecue. (m)EAT BBQ is the culmination Al's experience combined with his love of The Pacific Northwest and the flavors native to the area. (m)EAT BBQ only uses locally sourced, all natural hardwoods to cook and smoke meats and amazing sides. (m)EAT BBQ specializes in traditional barbecue and unique, local sides. They are constantly working in the (m)EAT Lab to come up with fun, different menu items to delight and dazzle local diners!
(m)EAT BBQ has a strong belief that barbecue is more than just food, barbecue, as the most primitive form of cooking can be traced back to each and every culture, it doesn't matter if you're Asian, African, Latino, European, or just down-right 'Merican, every culture has cooked food with direct or indirect wood-fired heat. Barbecue provides a sense of community, unity and trust. People will come together from all walks of life to share stories and a meal about how they, their parents and their grandparents cooked barbecue.
